104 - A Royally Good Half Time Bollocking

On Saturday, Cherries beat Reading 4 - 2 at Dean Court, and it was the archetypal game of two halves. Jason Tindall's half time dressing down did the trick, and the "bollocking" he gave the players (in the words of David Brooks) had the desired effect - better quality, more desire, and they were more clinical too. In this podcast, Sam Davis and Jeff Hayward dissect the game, and when you face certain teams, the headlines are easy to write. Reading provide such joy with their Royals and Biscuitmen associations, so you won't be surprised to find out that the reign at the top of the league ended at the Vitality on Saturday and indeed it was the Cherries players who are now hob-nobbing with their promotion rivals Norwich City, sitting pretty in second place, leaving their opponents on Saturday ruing their chances after crumbling to a 4-2 defeat. Nice. In this podcast we also get the Player Ratings with Tom Jordan and Owen Tovey - a young Cherries fan with some great opinions on the game! Plus... a look forward to our chat with Jason Tindall, and opportunity afforded to us via the Cherries Trust, so we speak to our main man Tom, and ask him what it was like. This interview is being screened on Youtube on Sunday at 8pm! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. 103 - A Blues Cruise and A Cherries Muse

As Cherries pulled our second 3-1 win out of the bag at St Andrews this season, we take a look at proceedings in Birmingham on Saturday, as the away side strolled to a convincing win, and finally saw a performance which boasted finesse and intensity. This week the panel includes Jeff Hayward, Tom Jordan, Neil Dawson and Sam Davis. Lockdown isn't a particularly easy time, but one organisation that is trying to be a shining light through all this is Talking Cherries, a fans led mental health initiative, so we speak to Simon Kay, who brings us up to date with what is going on. Plus those on Twitter might also have seen some fundraising going on for a Bournemouth Football Academy in Uganda. Intrigued and want to know more? Well, we catch a word with Steve Butler, who provides more information about it. As well as previewing our encounter with Reading, we also muse over the Cherries so far - what has gone right, what has gone wrong, and what chances are there of 1) maintaining our prize assets in January, and 2) pushing for promotion this season? ...

102 - Roro Spares Cherry Blushes

After Cherries dispatched of Bristol City in the week with a late winner, Derby County were next to visit, with Boscombe fans hoping that we could end a streak of seven games without a win against the Rams. However, a lacklustre showing sadly meant that the expected three points would only turn out to be one - adding to our never-ending tally of draws. However, it was great to see Rodrigo Riquelme net his first goal for the Cherries, and what a sweet strike it was - hopefully the first of many for AFC Bournemouth! Whilst AFCB sit third in the table, Sam Davis and Jeff Hayward can't help but feel deflated after a performance that left a lot to be desired. In this podcast, we dissect the 90 minutes on Saturday, plus we look forward to our match against Sheffield Wednesday - on Tuesday! With the Owls sitting bottom of the table and on a poor run of form, this would surely be an unforgivable place to be dropping points? Also, in a brand new series on Youtube, North Stand Season Ticket Holder Tom Jordan gives his Player Ratings from the last game, so we provide a taster of his thoughts after that 1-1 at the weekend! 101 - Room 101? - It’s An Unbeaten Run!

With monologues being readied to describe a match which might have been consigned to Room 101, a certain Chris Mepham stepped up to tear up the script and secure a point for AFC Bournemouth, continuing this season's unbeaten run. In this podcast, we go over the match at Vicarage Road with a fine toothcomb. Were we lucky to have 11 men on the pitch? Were Watford? Was the outcome correct? And why are we so wasteful in the final third? Jeff Hayward joins Sam Davis as we mull over a game which saw both teams cement their play-off league positions, with the Hornets and Cherries 3rd and 4th respectively. Elsewhere in this podcast, we get your thoughts after Saturday's encounter, and there are some choice words from Kirk Tovey. The fans thoughts this week are sponsored by Seven Squared - life-long gamers and professional designers who are keeping alive the names of some of the world’s favourite retro video games via limited edition Tee Shirts.
