117 - We Will Not Be Seduced!

Whilst isolated moments throughout the game might have given rise to rose-tinted optimism from some pundits, many Cherries fans will simply not be seduced by these infrequent passages of play. After yet another 3-2 home defeat, this time to Barnsley, Sam Davis, Tom Jordan, Mr Tigz and Jeff Hayward come together for a cathartic look back at yesterday's match - one which Barnsley fully deserved to win. AFC Bournemouth's style in the first half against Barnsley was questionably regarded as being "champagne football" after a spell where we managed to put a few passes together which culminated in a shot - indeed, the brief moments of joy that Cherries displayed in the first 45 against Valérien Ismaël's men seemed to inflate a biased opinion which left Barnsley fans watching on iFollow both bothered and baffled. Plus, we give a taster of our fully interview with Marc Pugh - who provides an expert insight on what it’s like to be involved in the Play-Offs! Pughie twice managed to avoid them with automatic promotion, but also he was someone who has experienced the heartbreak of losing in them too! 116 - Cruising and Complacent

Cherries dropped two points at Deepdale on Saturday against an unpredictable Preston North End side in a match which was the archetypal game of two halves. It was a familiar tale of missed chances followed by punishment for our defensive mistakes. The single point leaves Bournemouth 7th in league, outside the play-offs, sitting behind Barnsley, a team who have got one game in hand on us - it's not looking good, but there's time left. In this podcast, Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, Tom Jordan and Mr Tigz take you through proceedings from Saturday, whilst casting a keen eye forward towards our next clashes which see us entertain Barnsley and Swansea - two HUGE games for us! We also have a ten minute taster of a Youtube exclusive with an ex-Cherries midfielder maestro - a pivotal signing in our first Great Escape season - and a player whose darting runs and crucial goals were instrumental in our survival. Of course, it's the one and only Stephen Robinson! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. 115 - Harried Hornets Lump on Lerma

Cherries were in free-fall, without a solid performance in a number of games, so a 1-0 win against high-flying Watford ensured that Boscombe fans actually have some hope for the remainder of the season. Whilst Danjuma provided the difference, big Jeff stole the show with a display of gamesmanship that represented that league we've just been relegated from. A solitary Arnaut goal was the difference at Dean Court, in a sun-drenched affair which saw temperatures rise on and off the pitch - with something akin to a Royal Rumble in the closing minutes, which included a couple of sendings off too. It's never dull is it... Today's show provided an extended dissection of yesterday's 1-0 victory against Watford with Mr Tigz, Jeff Hayward, Neil Dawson and Tom Jordan. 114 - Trust The Process?

World class candidates, an external appointment, exciting CV's - the future is bright - trust the process! The process? Under Eddie, we had a process - and that process was - "Howe will carry us through". Now though, at an Eddie-less AFCB, manager-less Cherries this weekend seemingly made a mockery of the "process" of interviewing - with yet another internal appointment. Nothing against Woodgate, but what on earth was the last three weeks all about? On the pitch, things weren't that much better. We showed a little bit of promise, but altering a flourishing defensive duo and changing to a three meant that we were the architects of our own demise. We as good as gift wrapped Queens Park Rangers with the win as they beat AFC Bournemouth 2-1 at Loftus Road, in a match which encapsulated so much of or season so far. In this podcast, the Back of the Net panel react to the news, plus give their opinions after that away defeat. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. John Bailey - The Lockdown Interviews

We’re joined by yet another character in the Cherries calvary by the way of combative midfielder John Bailey - a player that wore his heart on his sleeve, playing 137 games for Boscombe, spanning five season, scoring 13 goals (some of them in friendlies, admittedly), one of which was in the most famous football stadium in the world. He was tough, he got rough, but his tenacity encapsulated the never say die era that most Cherries fans went through at the time. Jeff Hayward and Neil Dawson speak to him about: ◽️ The slippery characters ◽️ A clique of players he simply couldn't stand ◽️ The rule he broke the night before Wembley. ◽️ How he'd have dealt with "The Weasel" ...
