123 - Am I Bovvered

As Catherine Tate once said: "Am I Bovvered?", and reading between the lines, that was the message that was gleaned from most of the post-match Cherry soundbytes - so despite our 1-0 loss at Wycombe on Saturday, the feeling of concern from the fans perhaps isn't quite empathised by the staff of AFC Bournemouth! It was a turgid showing - a much-changed side, which gave the Chairboys the impetus to put in an excellent performance, full of grit and desire, twinned with an early wonder-strike which would grace any Goal of the Month competition. The concern for Bournemouth fans is "loss of momentum" and the perceived lack of squad depth. Not many of the stand-ins particularly put in shifts which could give Woodgate a selection headache, with Roro potentially being one of the exceptions - so how are we feeling ahead of the end-of-season lottery? Sam Davis is joined by Jeff Hayward, Tom Jordan and Mr Tigz to analyse the game, and to talk about our likely potential semi-final clash against Swansea. The fun, and nervousness, starts here! 121 - The Joy of Six

The last time AFC Bournemouth won six in a row, we were promoted to the Premier League. Can we?! Well, the Cherries came away from Carrow Road with a 3-1 victory against Norwich City in a match which saw a number of talking points - one of which was a sending off for the home side, a decision which had a select number of Canaries fans up in arms. Numerical advantage aside, despite a poor early 15 minutes where Boscombe managed to concede a sloppy goal through a Pukki & Buendia combination, the away side dominated the rest of the game, going on to score four, one of which was disallowed! It's fair to say that we've hit form at the right time – and when you've got Arnaut in the side, then we always know that we have always got a bit of Danju-magic that can be produced at any given moment – what a guy! To discuss events we have Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, Neil Dawson, and Tom Jordan - plus, we look forward to Millwall too! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. 120 - Ecstatic With Danjumagic

A chance to dissect the weekend's match at Dean Court where AFC Bournemouth managed to dispose of Coventry City 4-1. It was a frenetic start with two early goals, but then it became a familiar affair where the Cherries were spurning golden opportunities in front of goal – but at least we are creating them - which suggests that a corner definitely has been turned! Thankfully Danjuma was the man again, and two goals from him and an assist helped Boscombe romp to a relatively relaxed win over the Sky Blues. Plus, we look forward to our early evening clash against the Terriers. Huddersfield are possibly still smarting after the 7-0 humiliation at Norwich, so can Bournemouth add to their woes? If we do, we've won five in a row! To discuss events we have Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, Neil Dawson, and Tom Jordan. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. 119 - Easter Egg-stravaganza

Cherries are honing in on the Play-Offs after two Easter wins, starting off with a 3-1 victory against Middlesbrough at Dean Court - a win that, whilst it saw no change of league position, leaves us on the coat-tails of Reading and Barnsley - who played out a 1-1 draw later that afternoon It was a game of three thirds at Dean Court, where Bournemouth started well before morphing into the formulaic style of dangerously sitting on a lead. Boro did what most teams have done and equalise, before Boscombe somehow found another gear for the remaining third of the game, scoring two... and arguably, they could have netted more. Then on Monday, we faced Blackburn, and secured a 2-0 win in a match which wasn't pretty, but saw the away side convert clinically twice, to see off a team whose form was spiralling out of control. We could have faced a Rovers side determined to put the wrongs right after their defeat to Wycombe, but aside from a silly gifted penalty, their threats were few and far between - but by no means did Cherries dominate - as for large parts we were poor! Work to do, but delighted with the win! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. 118 - Managed Debt And Cup Regret

Cherries posted a £60m+ loss for the last financial year in some jaw-dropping figures that were released this morning. AFC Bournemouth also posted confirmation that its owner is in to the club to the tune of £160m - a concerning backdrop off the pitch to what has been a fruitless season on it. The cost of Covid has hit hard, but whilst the numbers are fairly similar to other Premier League clubs accounts last season, fans will have a number of questions about the investment going forward, the extremely high percentage of wages vs turnover, and the growing debt that our club seems to accrue… so we’ve tried to gauge the reaction on Twitter this morning and discuss what we've learned - with Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, and Neil Dawson. Plus, we cannot NOT mention the last football match that AFC Bournemouth turned up to, or more to the point - didn't turn up to. Therefore, with the additional help of Mr Tigz and Tom Jordan, we review the fateful home defeat at the hands of Southampton in the FA Cup Quarter Finals. Also, a big thanks to the guys at Cherries Red Army for supplying the audio sound-bytes too! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms.
